My name is  Jayla Washington. I'm currently a freshman at Howard University majoring in Health Science. I am currently researching DNA Barcoding with organisms as well as continuing my focus from my last year at New York Harbor School, studying marine organisms and their behavior. I'm extremely passionate about my work currently and for the future. I always try and put out my best work no matter how long it takes. I plan on moving into the medical field as a surgeon later in life. In my personal life, I enjoy my downtime taking care of my family and various activities

Personality

Personality wise on the Myers Briggs and Holland code, I fit the INTJ, ( Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Judgmental) and ECA (Enterprising, Conventional, and Artistic). I agree with the analysis. I'm more of an introverted person, which has lead me to become more of an intuitive thinker. This makes me overly critical of any of work that I put out. This trait serves as a weakness sometimes, as it can make me self-conscious. But, it's not all bad as this has led to many of my achievements including my membership in The National Honors Society and the National Technical Honors Society from 2019 til present. These achievements only keep me pushing to always do my best work and strive for more.
